Relocation of HVAC instructional lab from Building E to Building G. Also included is the renovation of two spaces from storage rooms to office areas. The work will be conducted over the summer and the existing school will remain in operation throughout construction with all normal school operations to remain functional. Work will take place in two shop areas-one classroom- two storage rooms and the main mechanical room to connect to electrical and gas utilities. The existing classroom will receive new HVAC- lighting and ceiling. The adjacent Supply-Storage room will be divided into a new office and storage space. The new office will receive HVAC-ceiling-lighting. The other existing storage room will be renovated into an office that will receive new HVAC only. The lighting in this office shall remain. The shop areas will receive new electrical and gas service for the training equipment in the HVAC program. Lighting will also be upgraded in the shop areas to achieve 50 footcandles. A motorized overhead coiling door will be installed between the two shops. Two existing hollow metal doors are to be replaced and new observation windows will be installed in existing masonry walls. The major trades for this project include: Mechanical/Plumbing; Electrical; Gypsum Board/Finishing; Acoustical tile Ceilings.<<
